Saralanga 2024

A Celebration of Unity in Diversity

The Sinhala Association of Queensland (SAQ) successfully hosted its premier cultural event, Saralanga 2024, on September 28th at St John's Anglican College, Forest Lake. This spectacular showcase featured 336 performers, ranging from 4 to 80 years of age, representing the rich cultural tapestry of Sri Lanka and Queensland's multicultural community.

Fostering Sri Lankan Heritage in Australia

Welcome to the Sinhala Association of Queensland Inc. We are a non-profit organisation based in Brisbane. We assist in preserving and promoting the Sinhala language and the Sri Lankan culture by hosting events, such as dancing, singing and drama performances. Additionally, we offer services to our members to help out Sri Lankan families in both Australia and the motherland.

The Brisbane Sinhala School is a cultural institution in Queensland, dedicated to fostering and propagating the Sinhala heritage. It provides education in Sinhala language skills and Sri Lankan culture to around 80 students, offering a range of cultural and social activities.
